Twitter

Twitter is an American microblogging and social networking service on which users post and interact with messages known as "tweets". Registered users can post, like, and retweet tweets, but unregistered users can only read those that are publicly available.

Twitter is available worldwide for users 13 years and older. It currently has 206 million monetizable daily active users worldwide.

If you do choose to create an account, you must provide us with some personal data this includes a display name (for example, “Twitter Moments”), a username (for example, @TwitterMoments), a password, and an email address or phone number. If you create a professional account you must add your professional category, including street address, contact email address, and contact phone number, all of which will always be public.

Most activity on twitter is public, this includes your profile information, display language, your tweets and certain information like the date, time, and application and version of Twitter you tweeted from. The lists you create, people you follow and who follow you, and Tweets you Like or Retweet are also public.

We collect your contact information such as email address and phone number to authenticate your account or to enable certain account features(i.e login verification), to send you information about our services, and to personalize our services, including ads.

We will collect your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address, in order to purchase advertising or other offerings provided.

This includes your device's operating system and IP address .

To facilitate the fast global dissemination of Tweets to people around the world, we use technology such as APIs and embeds to make that information available to websites, apps, and others for their use-for example, displaying Tweets on a news website or analyzing what people say on Twitter.

If you choose to conduct payment related transactions, we will share data with the relevant payment provider to facilitate this transaction.

We share certain information with our business partners such as third party services if you give them access to your account.

We give you control through your settings to limit the data we collect from you and how we use it, and to control things like account security, marketing preferences, apps that can access your account, and address book contacts you’ve uploaded to Twitter.
